Cedars
Early
Learning
Centre
The brief was to create an enticing place for children to learn and play at the Cedars Campus. The site of the centre is on a hillside near the banks of a local creek.
The building sits on the hillside and has been shaped in plan to follow the contours and aims to minimise the heaviness of the footprint by stepping up the hill via the split level plan.
The centre aims to have an honest architectural expression whilst still embracing variety through colour and materiality.
The playground also embraces the topography of the site and features natural elements to create varied landscape within the hillside conductive to creative play.
